North Newton, Kan. — Bethel volleyball continued its strong start to conference play Wednesday night, rolling past Bethany College in straight sets (25–20, 25–14, 25–19) inside Thresher Gym. The win improves the Threshers to 14–8 overall and 4–1 in KCAC play.
Junior Cameron Offerle once again led the charge with 16 kills and nine digs, hitting .294 for the match. Kamryn Hill added an efficient 11 kills on a .429 clip, while Landree Merriman chipped in eight kills and two blocks.
Setter Dalaina Schutte orchestrated the offense with 37 assists, five kills, and six digs, guiding the Threshers to a team hitting percentage of .295 — including an explosive .375 mark in the opening set. Alayna Vines added five kills, four blocks, and three aces, while libero Abby Koontz anchored the back row with 17 digs.
Bethel established control early in the match with steady serving and balanced offense, closing the first set on a 6–1 run capped by an Offerle kill. The Threshers carried that momentum into the second, jumping out to a 13–6 lead fueled by a pair of aces from Vines and a string of quick points at the net from Crow and Hill.
The third set featured one of Bethel's most complete stretches of the night, highlighted by a 6–0 burst in the middle frame that turned a close contest into another dominant finish.
The win marks Bethel's 2nd straight sweep and keeps the Threshers near the top of the KCAC standings. Bethel returns to action Saturday at 1 p.m. inside Thresher Gym to host Avila University.
